About Me

Tyann Marcink

Bare details whilst I am putting this page together:

I live on 5 acres near St. Louis, Missouri, and am a Cardinals baseball fan.

I have three boys, ages 13 years, 11 years, and 9 years (as of the beginning of 2017).

I start my mornings with either coffee with chocolate or hot tea with honey.

I create with the camera and with the paintbrush.

My photography includes vacation rental properties, commercial shoots, travel, headshots, small business, and the occasional family and high school senior. I also have a line of sports art I call For the Love of the Game (it has its own website here).

My painting is a line of custom children’s room decor called the Little Elephant Company. It is a three-time Martha Stewart Handmade Award Nominee, and I ship all over the world.

I also have two vacation homes in Branson, Missouri, that you can stay at for a few days getaway or a week vacation. You can check them out at my vacation home rental website for them here.

I teach workshops, write eBooks, and speak at summits/conferences about photography. Check my events and travels here, and see my press here.

I love to read. By the age of 5 years, I had read the entire series of Laura Ingalls Wilder books…twice.

I started writing a series of historical romance novels based on my great-great-great grandparents when they came to Missouri from Germany in the 1860s. One day I will have them finished for you to read.

I run/walk for exercise while wearing big Beats headphones and recently started bicycling.

My favorite song is currently “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. I sing it quite loudly in the car, and my boys have learned to just sing along instead of shushing me. “Love you Like That” by Canaan Smith is my second favorite…or maybe “Die a Happy Man’ by Thomas Rhett.

I love adventure.

I want to travel to Europe and see the places only the locals know about (but still see the tourist attractions!).

I also want to go white water rafting, photograph the Aurora Borealis, and listen to the ocean waves as I fall asleep.

Missouri does not have ocean waves.
