If one lives in Missouri wine country, one must visit the local wineries and take the tour.

The history of Stone Hill Winery is fascinating. Stone Hill is Missouri’s oldest winery, located in Hermann, Missouri, and boasts the largest underground series of vaulted cellars…in the United States. And before Prohibition, Stone Hill Winery was the second largest winery in the country. (Read more of their story here.)

The list of award winning wines is outstanding, and the windows of the tasting room are lined with the many Governor’s Cups they have won over the years.
